Ben is a gentle and helpful boy. He loves all animals.

One wet afternoon, cold raindrops fell. Ben walked home under his big umbrella. Near a green bush, Ben heard a tiny cry: "Whimper, whimper!"

Ben stopped. Under a wet leaf, he found a tiny puppy named Toby. Toby was shivering. Toby felt very scared and alone.

"Do not worry, little pup," Ben said with a kind smile. Ben wrapped Toby in his warm jacket and carried him home safely.

At home, Ben gave Toby warm milk and a crunchy bone. Toby wagged his tail and licked Ben's hand! Toby felt happy and loved. Helping Toby made Ben feel proud!
